Mary Louise Bardell, 88, Albertville, and formerly of Elk River, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at North Memorial Medical Center of Robbinsdale.
Visitation was Saturday, April 28, 10-11 a.m., at Living Waters Church, 21246 Meadowvale Road NW, Elk River. The funeral service followed at 11 a.m. Pastors David Weigel and Robert Pullar officiated. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery of Minneapolis on Monday, April 30, at 2:30 p.m.
Mary was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Staples, Minn., to Louis H. and Edna D. (McFall) Faxon. She attended and graduated from Staples High School. She married Byrle Bardell on Nov. 1, 1945.
Mary worked as a seamstress and legal stenographer. She loved to cook, but her greatest joy in life was being with her children and grandchildren. She was active in the Living Waters Church of Elk River and will be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior.
Mary is survived by her son Walter L. (Cary) Bardell, Monticello; daughter Barbara A. (James) Evenson, Annandale; 10 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; and a brother Louis Faxon.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother Richard Faxon; and sister Betty Berg.
Funeral arrangements were with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.
