Jason Paul Ojalehto, 22, Monticello, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, from injuries he received from an automobile accident.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 21, 11 a.m., at The Rockford Laestadian Lutheran Church. Pastor Jouko Haapsaari will officiate. Interment will follow at The Cokato Finnish Cemetery. A visitation was held at the church on Wednesday, June 20, 5-9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Further visitation will be at the church on Thursday morning, June 21, one hour prior to the service.
Jason was born Oct. 25, 1989, in Coon Rapids, to Jerome and Cynthia Hillukka Ojalehto.
He graduated from Buffalo High School in 2008 and later attended St. Cloud State University.
Jason was employed in construction as a carpenter. He formerly worked in his family’s business, Proview Lawn and Snow.
He enjoyed bow hunting, playing hockey, fishing and pheasant hunting.
Jason is survived by his parents, Monticello; brothers, Matthew and Marcus, both of Monticello; special friend Alex Underwood, Big Lake; grandparents, Wesley and Florence Hillukka, Elk River and Thelma Ojalehto of Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather,Paul Ojalehto.
Casket Bearers will be Matthew Ojalehto, Marcus Ojalehto, Chris Karvonen, Loren Parks, Nathan Jones and Aaron Raisanen.
