Walk ‘N’ Roll-ers brave rain

While it’s dubbed Walk ‘N’ Roll, a more appropriate name for this year’s Chamber of Commerce-coordinated family outing might have been Disco Duck.

But intermittent rain from the outset of the event with a constant threat of heavier rains didn’t keep Monticello and area residents from turning out in large numbers for Walk ‘N’ Roll last Saturday. And it didn’t put a damper on their spirit or enjoyment of the 17-year event that seems to be gaining in popularity with each passing year.
