Fall sports hit the ground running

From the soccer fields to the tennis courts, from the gridion to the sidewalks, Monticello athletic programs kicked off their season Monday – the first day school sports are allowed to hold official practices.
Eight varsity programs got their season underway Monday including the girls cross country team, which is coming off the school’s first-ever Minnesota State High School League State Championship, and the Magic football team, coming of its best season in well over a decade.
