Keith A. Johnson, 27, Monticello
Keith Allen Johnson, 27, Monticello, died in a motor vehicle accident which occurred in Nebraska on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, Sept. 20, 4-8 p.m., at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello, followed by a prayer service at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 21, 11 a.m., at Bridgeview Assembly of God Church, 20500 County Road 11, Big Lake. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery of Monticello.
Keith was born March 9, 1985. He amazed family and friends with his humor and his ability to light up a room whenever he entered. He was famous for his bear hugs, respect for women and children, and his playfulness. Keith was known as “General Lee“, “Baby Huey”, “Big Brother”, “Little Brother”, “Teddy Bear” and many more titles. His zest for life was evident in his job as an over the road truck driver, and when he returned home to be with family and friends. Those near him always felt love, care and empathy when he was around.
Keith will always be in the hearts of his family and will be remembered by his mother, Liz Johnson, Monticello; father Bryan Johnson, Menominee, Wis.; brothers, Josh (Stephanie) McClanahan, Maple Lake; Ron McClanahan, Becker; Cory McClanahan, Big Lake; Tyler McClanahan, Monticello; his surrogate family mother Teresa McClanahan; father Leo McClanahan; brothers and sisters, Krista (Justin) Jackson, Annandale; Nathan (Stacy) McClanahan, Mora; Tommy (Leah) McClanahan, Starbuck; Randy (Suzie) McClanahan, Monticello; Tiffany (John) Frieler, Annandale; grandmother Margery McClanahan, Big Falls, Minn.; and grandfather Gerald Johnson of Wisconsin.
Keith was preceded in death by grandmother Susan Johnson; grandfather Leo McClanahan; and nephew Kurt McClanahan. Keith will “Keep on Truckin’” in his new venture.
