The Magic are still looking to get off the snide. After winning the first two games of the season, a 3-1 loss to Buffalo Tuesday night extended their losing streak to four games.
The Magic trailed 2-0 at the half, with each team netting one goal in the second half. Andy Bales scored the lone Monticello goal. The boys will look to get back on track Thursday when they host Rogers at 5 p.m.
Monticello went 1-0-1 this past week as they continue to play shutdown defense, but search for consistent goal scoring. The Magic beat Rockford 4-0 Thursday before working to a 0-0 tie against Buffalo Tuesday night.
The game represents the second 0-0 tie for the Magic this season.
They’ll look to get back on the scoreboard and in the win column when they head to Rogers Thursday for a 5 p.m. game.
Monticello just missed a perfect week going 2-1 with two sweeps and one five-set loss.
The week started with Monticello picking up 3-0 victories against Cambridge and St. Cloud Tech.
Jamie Maus led the Magic in kills both games, with Sara Macek and Bailey Bechtold helping carry the load up front.
Gabbi Stein, Caitlin Lawrence and Gabby Gardner all provided help in the back as they led the team in digs during the two games.
Tuesday the Magic lost a five-set match to their rival St. Michael-Albertville.
Monti starts another busy week with a 7 p.m. match at Rogers tonight.
