Monticello council picks two planning commissioners
Monticello council members appointed two new planning commission representatives Monday night to fill open positions caused by resignation-related vacancies.
Sam Burvee, 6103 Wildwood Way, and Grant Sala, 9105 Oriole Lane, were appointed to the commission. Candidates were interviewed last Wednesday, Sept. 5.
Councilmember Tom Perrault attended the commissioner interviews. Burvee and Sala will fill the terms of Rod Dragsten and Barry Voight. Dragsten resigned to take a position on the Monticello Economic Development Authority (EDA) and Voight resigned due to work-related commitments. Dragsten and Voight’s terms were to set expire in 2014.
Burvee and Sala are scheduled to begin their terms Oct. 2, when the Monticello Planning Commission has its next regular meeting.
