The Monticello Chamber of Commerce and Wright County Economic Development Partnership are sponsoring several opportunities for voters to informally meet and greet state and local candidates.
The first meet-and-greet was held last Friday (Sept. 14) at Premier Banks Monticello. Additional meetings have been scheduled for 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Premier Banks with state Senate and House candidates as well as Wright County Commissioners and Monticello mayoral candidates. All events are open to the public and attendance is encouraged. The Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry nor the Wright County Economic Development Partnership does not endorse candidates. The meet-and-greet sessions are opportunities to educate voters on the candidates and issues.

Candidate Forum, Monticello Community Center, 6:30 to 7 p.m. Mayoral Debate. 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wright County Commissioners Debate and 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Federal, State and County Offices Debate.
Chamber Lunch to meet candidates running for Monticello mayor and New River Medical Clinic Hospital Board. Registration and visiting with candidates is set for 11:30 a.m. Lunch is available for $12 (preregistration is appreciated at [email protected] or 763-295-2700. This event is open to anyone. Chamber membership is not required to attend this luncheon. Contact the chamber for additional event details.
