Big Lake, Monticello crews fight mobile home fire
Firefighters from Big Lake and Monticello were called to a mobile home fire at 140 Lee St. in Big Lake Wednesday morning shortly before 10:30 a.m. According to Police Chief Joel Scharf, the fire in Big Lake Estates mobile home park destroyed one trailer and damaged another. A resident living in the destroyed trailer heard a smoke alarm, saw the fire and immediately got out of the trailer. A nearby trailer caught on fire before fire crews arrived.
