Quarry Community Church opens new office in Monticello

Quarry Community Church, long the church that is held at the Monticello Middle School, took a big step in moving up Sunday, Sept. 30 when members of the church and community gathered for an official ribbon-cutting at their new office, located in the old Simonson Lumber building on Chelsea Road.

Members of the Quarry Community Church and the Monticello community gathered for an official ribbon-cutting Sept. 30.

The event, open to the public, ran throughout the afternoon. The point was to show off the new offices, where the Quarry Church has created an environment for their Student Ministry, office space, and a place where the greater community can just hang out.
Prior to this move, the Quarry Church offices had been portable for 10 years, and leasing different office space. Long term, Quarry is now looking to continue building on the Chelsea Road property and eventually be able to hold Sunday services there. But while they pay off their current purchase, and settle into their new digs, services will still be held at Monticello Middle School.
The Quarry Church also used Sept. 30 to promote a new program they have coming up, called Stuck on You. The message series, running Sundays in October, is meant to help individuals learn how to make their relationships stick. Stuck on You provides information on how two individuals can thrive together for a lifetime.
