Letter: Former Monticello mayor backs Thelen
To the editor:
In 1997 and 1998 I had the privilege of serving as mayor of Monticello. In that capacity, I had frequent contact with Pat Sawatzke as we both served on the orderly annexation board. I had numerous opportunities to see how Pat worked with and treated others and to observe his leadership qualities and overall character. I definitely will be voting for Rose Thelen.
