Siren test Wednesday near Monticello nuclear plant
Wright County has announced it will be testing the new narrowbanded siren system this Wednesday (Nov. 14) at 1 p.m. According to Genell Reese, Wright County Veterans Service and Civil Defense director, The test will be less than half-minute in duration and will sound on Wright County sirens within 10 miles of the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. Residents should not call dispatch or local law enforcement.
