Pinewood Elementary students honor nation’s veterans

Pinewood Elementary students gathered together Friday morning, Nov. 9, for an hour-long Veterans Day program. The school hosted dozens of veterans for the program, which featured key note speaker Lieutenant Colonel Duane A. Geisen, Field Artillery, U.S Army Reserve, Retired. It also saw student interaction throughout. The fifth grade choir performed “Americans We”, and fifth-grade students Caitlyn Rymer, Elise Yager and Tyler Sampson read off essays thanking veterans near and dear to them (such as grandparents) along with all who have served.
