Superintendent Report – Jim Johnson, Superintendent reported that the districts administration has set priorities and have made staff decisions. Now moving forward with goals in mind and the responsibility to Focus on Career and College ready students and, to Focus on four C’s of Integrating 21st Century Skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity and Innovation). He also described Bloom’s Taxonomy, and how we can be successful and do incredible things with the dollars we have, and to continue to do what’s best for our students and what we will do get there. 7. End of FY12 Report – Tina Burkholder, Business Manager presented the 2011-2012 End of Year Financial Report. Her presentation included the District’s preliminary financial results for the year ended June 30, 2012 and all remaining funds. 8. 2013-14 Levy – Tina Burkholder, Business Manager presented the final Levy that was presented at the Truth in Taxation Presentation at the December 3rd, 2012 school board meeting. Food Service Report – Joe Happe, Food Service Director gave a food service update, his update included; Students are now receiving six different fruits and vegetables per day- Changed student food line at the Middle School – An extra six cents per meal was received because of retro pay from October from HHFA – Student have really been enjoying the new menu items; fish tacos, chicken lo mein, rainbow chili, chicken stew, and soup of the day – The Middle School “Commons Corner” and High School “Magic on Main” stores are going very well – An Employee Recognition Program has been started – Numbers are up – revenue by 6.4%, Al la Cart purchases – up by 16-18% and meal participation is up 2.9% 10.
