Letter: Crow River MCCL issues anniversary call to action

To the editor:

Next week, Jan. 22 will mark the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions legalizing abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy.
Since that time, 55 million unborn babies have been denied their constitutional right to life across the nation.
In Minnesota, more than half-a-million unborn girls and boys have been put to death.
You can help build a culture of life in which all innocent life is respected and protected.
Please consider joining thousands of people at the 2013 Prayer Service for Life Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul.
This will be followed by the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, MCCL, March for Life at noon at the capitol.
The Crow River MCCL Chapter has arranged bus transportation to the prayer service and march.
The bus will pick up at the Buffalo Covenant Church at 8:45 a.m., the new St. Michael Catholic Church at 9:10 a.m. and St. Albert’s Parish Center at 9:15 a.m.
You do not need to make reservations for the bus.  If you have any questions, you can call Jim at 763-497-3909 or Marlene at 763-497-2265. We must speak up for those who have no voice.  We must tell our lawmakers we want laws that defend the most defenseless among us. Help protect life. Come to the captiol at noon on January 22 and make your voice heard!
