Girls Hockey

The North Wright County Riverhawks dropped a wild one Thursday night, falling 5-4 to Orono, the fifth-ranked team in Class A.
NWC jumped to a 3-1 lead, but consecutive penalties late in the game put them at a two-person disadvantage, and Orono used the advantage to wipe away the lead and take control of the final minutes. The Spartans scored four goals in the final period, with the Hawks adding the first and the last goal of the period (the final one coming with just seconds left).
Greta Stanton scored two goals for NWC.
The Hawks bounced back Tuesday night with a 7-0 win over Rogers.
