MHS announces December Students of the Month

The following students have been named December 2012 Monticello High School Students of the Month:
Ninth Grade: Lauren Holm – An excellent student, Lauren is outstanding in everything she does, doing every assignment thoroughly and carefully. Her work and effort are phenomenal.  Beyond that, she is one of the nicest and most respected students. She does all of this very quietly and could easily fall under the radar. But teachers have taken note of her, and this is why she is December’s Student of the Month.
Tenth Grade: Aaron Wisecup – Aaron’s teachers have genuine respect for him. They have commented about how he is one of the most diligent students they have ever seen. Furthermore, he consistently uses his work time and is very respectful and courteous, demonstrating kindness to classmates and staff. These are the qualities that set him apart as Student of the Month.
Eleventh Grade: Victor Kleinsteuber – One teacher’s testimonial illustrates why Victor Kleinsteuber is Student of the Month: Victor attended a “Job Skills Day” for students with DCD as part of his job shadowing experience. He was great with the students, dug right in and got to work running the bean bag toss game. After that event was over, he also helped serve lunch to all 109 students. He was very helpful, got along great with the students, and seemed to really enjoy the day.
Twelfth Grade: Trista Kleinsteuber –Trista has been a wonderful TA for the program. She completes all tasks in record time and is very accurate about what she does. In one case, she created a jobs bulletin board in the counselors’ work area that is accessed daily by students looking for work. Overall, Trista is a very conscientious student and has been an asset to the work experience program.
