To the editor:
I want to extend my sincere thanks to the wonderful people of Monticello for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet with me at Caribou Coffee on Feb. 2.
As representative of the Sixth District, I enjoy every opportunity to hear constituents’ comments and concerns.
It was wonderful to see many new faces, as well as State Rep. Marion O’Neill and members of the city council, fire department and sheriff’s department.
The economy, Second Amendment rights, and the impact of Obamacare on the medical device industry were prevalent topics of concern for attendees, who worried about the effect of current policies on their families and small businesses.
From retirees to young children, I consider the impact every vote has on the people of Central Minnesota. It’s a responsibility I take very seriously, and I am working every day to make life more affordable for Minnesota families.
Again, I thank the people of Monticello for meeting with me over coffee. I care about this district, and if there is ever anything my staff or I can do, please don’t hesitate to contact my Anoka office at 763-323-8922.
Rep. Michele Bachmann
U.S. Sixth District
