Leroy A. Kreitlow, 73, Buffalo

Leroy Arthur Kreitlow, 73, Buffalo, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m., at The United Methodist Church in Montrose. Reverend Cheryl Goode will officiate. Interment with military rites will follow at Kreidler Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 22 at the church from 4-8 p.m. Further visitation will be Saturday morning, Feb. 23 one hour prior to service at the church.
Leroy was born April 10, 1939,  in Montrose, the son of Leroy A. “Roy” and Lillian Nelson Kreitlow, Sr.
He honorably served his country in the United States military, and was formerly employed as a bank teller at Oakley National Bank.
Leroy was a lifelong member of The United Methodist Church in Montrose. He also belonged to the Griswold Masonic Lodge #218 in Dassel for 52 years, where he was a master mason. Through the years he was an active life member of American Legion Post # 270 and served as its finance officer for 15 years.
Community service was very important to Leroy.  He served for 10 years on The Retirement Center of Wright County Board of Directors, Buffalo Hospital/Health Central Board of Directors for 14 years, City of Buffalo, HRA Board for 17 years, Delta Aviation, Inc.for 20 years and Kreidler Cemetery Association, Inc., for 15 years.
He is survived by  special family members: Diane Folkestad; Amanda Folkestad and Joel (Heather) Folkestad and grandbaby Ashley Folkestad; Kathryn (Kenny) Schultz and family and Laurie (Duane) Poach and family; and a stepsister Ann (James) McGraw.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Edna Padden Kreitlow.
Honorary casket bearers will be Kenneth L. Penttila, BG USAR (Ret), Michael G. Lehti, COL USAR (Ret), Marvin C. Streich, 1SG USAR (Ret), Jan C. Larson, John T. Peterson and Edna Knoblauch.
Casket bearers will be Allan G. Czanstkowski, Stanley H. Meyer, Kyle J. Krueger, Terry Nelson, Patrick Miller and Jerry Triplett.
