Motorists traveling Interstate 94 to Clearwater may encounter delays as the ramp from eastbound I-94 to Highway 24 closes for five days beginning at noon Thursday (April 25).
The closure is needed as crews resurface and repair the ramp, the Minnesota Department of Transportation stated Wednesday in a news release.
A signed detour will direct motorists from eastbound I-94 to eastbound Opportunity Drive/County Road 75 to Highway 24 in Clearwater. That detour exits the interstate about 5 miles west – or prior to – Highway 24.
The ramp is scheduled to reopen at noon Tuesday, April 30.
The closure is part of the I-94 Clearwater to St. Cloud resurfacing project. When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved safety and reduced short-term maintenance costs along 7.5 miles of busy interstate.
