Monticello council members adopted an ordinance to amend the 2013 miscellaneous fees for services schedule after completing a short public hearing April 22.
The fees for services performed by the city are set by ordinance and are reviewed annually. According to Deputy City Clerk Cathy Shuman, city leaders originally approved the 2013 fee schedule at their Dec. 10, 2012 meeting.
Last week, council members approved changing the grave transfer fee back to $15, waved special use and temporary use permit fees for parades, removed a separate application fee of $3.50 for a transient merchant application, adjusted language to the sanitary sewer special case fee statement to make it correspond with the city’s recently adopted winter consumption policy and adjusted a line of wording in the irrigation water rate language to bring that portion of the fee schedule into compliance with the city’s recently adopted policy for irrigation meters.
Shuman, reported that the miscellaneous fee changes approved by council April 22 would be published in the public notices section of the Monticello Times.
