Children ages 5 to 12 gathered Wednesday afternoon to participate in a Mother’s Day “Make and Take” program at the Monticello Public Library.
The late afternoon craft session featured four different gift-production stations. Youngsters produced picture frames, garden markers, handprint cards and flower bouquets made from pool noodles.
The long, foam toys that are popular as flotation devices, chairs or even swords were transformed into bright flower bunches for Mom. The flower production table was a popular place throughout the hour-long session.
The class was limited to 25 children and preregistration was required.
