Kay Frances Sieg, 67, Monticello, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at her home.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 31, 5-8 p.m., at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello, Minn. Funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 1, 11 a.m., also at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, with one hour of further visitation prior. Interment will be at Big Lake Cemetery.
Kay was born Aug. 27, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn., one of four children born to Samuel and Helen (Swanstrom) Schlesinger.
Kay was a single mother of three boys until she met Stephen Sieg, the love of her life. They were married in August of 1981 at School Lake, Albertville, Minn. Together they raised her growing, rambunctious boys.
She had many hobbies and interests – an avid reader, oil painter, quilter, knitter, and was a seamstress extraordinaire.
Her favorite holiday was Christmastime as she showered those she loved with beautiful memories and gifts galore. Kay was blessed with six grandchildren who added so much joy to her life. She will be deeply missed and loved!
Kay is survived by her husband; sons, Brett (Lisa) Weller, Timothy (Amy) Weller, and Samuel Weller; sisters, Darlene (Marlin) Olson and Carol (Mike) Connery; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Bob (Shirley) Schlesinger.
