The Monticello City Council recently approved assessment roles and maps and set a Monday, Sept. 9, hearing date for three rural road improvement projects.
The city’s 2012 Rural Road Improvement Project was substantially complete in November 2012, with minor punch list items completed this year.
According to information provided by WSB & Associates, Inc.,the city’s consulting engineering firm, the rural road project included improvements 5,800 feet of pavement reclamation on Edmonson Avenue between Chelsea Road and the city’s southern limits, 2,700 feet of pavement reclamation on Fallon Avenue between School Boulevard and Hunters Crossing and 2,700 feet of pavement reclamation on Fenning Avenue between School Boulevard and 85th Street N.E.
The rural road project also included improvements at the intersection of School Boulevard and Edmonson Avenue. Trail improvements were also included with the project along Jason Avenue, between Oak Ridge Drive and Oakview Court, and the trail segment between Oakview Lane and Meadow Lane.
