Gabe Hackett becomes new Little Mountain principal

The last time Little Mountain got a new principal, a number of folks were all partying like it was 1999. Literally.

Joe Dockendorf served as the school’s principal from 1999-2013, and now a new face to the district, Gabe Hackett, will take over the top spot for the Mustangs.

Hackett joins the Monticello school district after nine years of service to the school district next door, St. Michael-Albertville. He worked as a physical education teacher for four years before moving into a Dean of Students position, which is similar to an assistant principal, in St. Michael at the encouragement of his school’s leadership.

He comes to Monticello with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health, a master’s degree in education and his administrator’s license.
