In addition, the birth center will provide family amenities such as comfortable sofa beds for dads, mini-refrigerators in each room and a dedicated family room to offer comfort and convenience for relatives and friends who visit to support the new mother and baby.

Care at the Birth Center will be provided by the OB/GYN physicians, family medicine physicians and pediatricians from the Monticello Clinic and Albertville-St. Michael Clinic. Physician anesthesia coverage will also be available.

“My patients and I are looking forward to the opening of the Birth Center,” stated Timothy Olson, MD, OB/GYN at the Monticello Clinic . “For moms and families, delivering their new baby close to home is very important. I have toured the new birth center and I am confident the community will be impressed with the detail and work that went into creating a special place to welcome new babies.”

As part of CentraCare Health – Monticello’s mission to improve the health of every patient, every day, the birth center will offer families the opportunity to deliver their babies in their community, near family and friends.
