Attorney’s Report

Anthony Joseph Bartell, 32, of Albertville, sentenced March 4 for failure to register as a sex offender to 365 days jail.  Sentenced for probation violations for gross misdemeanor second degree DWI to 365 days jail, concurrent.

Troy Timothy Driscoll, 36, of Maple Lake, sentenced March 4 for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI to 365 days jail, $300 fine; 361 days stayed for two years on conditions of probation, serve 4 days jail, pay $300 fine plus surcharges, attend awareness panel for impaired drivers, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, have no same or similar violations.

Vickii Katherine Fragosa, 42, of Monticello, sentenced March 6 for misdemeanor theft to 90 days jail; 90 days stayed for one year on conditions of probation, serve 10 days sentence to service, have no same or similar violations.

Roger Lloyd Freeberg, 74, of Buffalo, sentenced Feb. 24 for felony assault in the second degree to a stay of execution for seven years on conditions of probation, serve 365 days jail, pay $1,000 fine plus surcharges, undergo chemical dependency treatment and follow all recommendations, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, have no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, provide DNA sample, obtain permission before leaving the state, undergo counseling and follow all recommendations, have no same or similar violations.

Daniel Curtis House, 22, of Buffalo, sentenced March 3 for probation violations for felony financial transaction card fraud to 30 hours community service.

Mark Daniel Johnson, 62, of Monticello, sentenced March 5 for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI to 365 days jail; 365 days stayed for three years on conditions of probation, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, attend awareness panel for impaired drivers, serve 30 days on electronic home monitoring, have no same or similar violations.

Nathaniel Kenneth Peterson, 22, of Monticello, sentenced March 5 for gross misdemeanor purchasing liquor for a minor to 365 days jail, $300 fine; 355 days stayed for two years on conditions of probation, serve 10 days jail, pay $300 fine plus surcharges, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, pay restitution, have no same or similar violations.

Logan Lee Schmidt, 26, of Monticello, sentenced March 5 for misdemeanor disorderly conduct to 90 days jail, $100 fine; 90 days stayed for one year on conditions of probation, pay $100 fine plus surcharges, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, have no same or similar violations.

Eli James Howry, 38, of Otsego was arrested March 4 in Otsego on the charge of violation of a domestic abuse no contact order.

Tod Kenneth Bocken, 42, of Monticello was arrested March 4 in Monticello on the charge of third degree DWI.

Jessica Marie Anderson, 23, of Buffalo was charged March 5 with gross misdemeanor violation of a harassment restraining order.

Cory Raymond Kalway, 43, of Big Lake was arrested March 5 in Monticello on a Wright County warrant for fifth degree controlled substance violation.

Joy Kristin Krautkremer, 36, of Clearwater was arrested March 5 in Clearwater on the charge of fifth degree controlled substance violation.

Ashley Elizabeth Capistrant, 29, of Big Lake was arrested March 5 in Otsego on a Wright County warrant for third degree DWI.

Travis Paul Christopher Padgett, 26, of Monticello was arrested March 5 in Buffalo on an apprehension and detention order from Wright County.

Jason Lee Loch, 38, of Clearwater was arrested March 5 in Clearwater on the charge of second degree controlled substance sale.

Arthur Ryan Roberts, 28, of Buffalo was arrested March 6 in Buffalo on a MN Department of Corrections warrant for parole violation.

Andrew Joseph Rohwer, 30, of Buffalo was arrested March 6 in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for third degree controlled substance violation.

Amanda Marie Reinke, 25, of Maple Lake was arrested March 7 in Benton County on Wright County warrants for third degree controlled substance violation and 5th degree controlled substance violation.

David Phillip Mihulka, 19, of Big Lake was arrested March 7 in Sherburne County on a Wright County warrant for theft.

Joseph MacArthur Rivard, 23, of Monticello was charged March 7 with felony 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.

Keith Alan Baker, 40, of Rockford was arrested March 7 in Monticello on the charge of driving after cancellation inimical to public safety and a Hennepin County warrant for fifth degree controlled substance violation.

Sara Jo Ann Gehrke, 20, of Buffalo was arrested March 7 in Cokato on the charge of first degree aggravated robbery.

Douglas Roger Johnson, 46, of Howard Lake was arrested March 7 in Monticello on the charge of driving after cancellation inimical to public safety.

Jennifer Marie Koch, 22, of Monticello was arrested March 8 in Monticello on the charges of disorderly conduct and fifth degree assault.

Joshua Thomas Bitzer, 25, of Monticello was arrested March 8 in Monticello on Wright County warrants for violation of a domestic abuse no contact order and domestic assault.

Terrence Markece Ivory, 23, of Otsego was arrested March 9 in Otsego on the charge of domestic assault.

Mark James Blomquist, 43, of Otsego was arrested March 9 in Otsego on the charge of domestic assault.

Brittany Faye Ohnstad, 24, of Fargo ND was arrested March 9 in Monticello on the charge of intent to escape tax.

There were 57 property damage accidents, 6 personal injury accidents, 1 hit and run accidents and 4 car deer accidents.

There were 3 arrests for DWI, no underage consumption arrests, no school bus stop arm violations and 58 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reported this week.

Monticello
Fire Report

Responded to a chimney fire March 5 at 6:35 a.m. in the 8700 block of Haug Ave. NE. Plastic cover used by the chimney had started on fire. Put out the fire.

Called to a gas leak at Target March 5 at 6:47 a.m. Found that snow had been put on the gas meter, causing the leak. Called the gas company.

Extricated a person out of a car following a car accident March 6 at 5:38 p.m. near County Rd. 37 and Effert Ave.

Called to a fire alarm March 8 at 3:42 p.m. near the 5200 block of School Blvd. Checked the building and didn’t find anything.

Called to a smoke alarm March 8 at 9:54 p.m. in the 400 block of 7th St. E. Smoke was from burnt food on the stove top. Aired out the apartment.

Helped ambulance with lift assist March 9 at 3:03 p.m. in the 10500 block of Amery Ave. NW.
