The public will gather Oct. 27 at the Monticello High School Media Center from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss the book: “All American Boys,” a fictionalized story of racial profiling by police as part of the Fifth Annual Monticello Book Read. Authors are Jason Reynolds and Brenden Kiely of New
York.

There will be two guests to help discuss the themes in the book: Sheriff Joe Hagerty of Wright County Sheriff’s Department and Ron Harris, African
American activist from Minneapolis.

Some books are available for loan at the Monticello Library and the book is also easily obtained at bookstores or online.

This event is sponsored by the Monticello Area Diversity Committee. This event is free and all are welcome, including youth age 12 and older and book clubs.
