Medallion Design Contest
DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL THURSDAY, DEC. 15
Calling all artists…We invite you to draw a mascot for our annual medallion hunt medallion. Entry forms can be picked up at the Monticello Chamber, Monticello Library, Monticello Community Center and the Monticello Times. Stop by and pick up a form and draw your idea of the Medallion Mascot. All entries must be in to the Monticello Times office (540 Walnut St. Monticello) by Thursday, Dec. 15 at noon. Don’t Delay. Cash prizes will be awarded including $100 for first place entry.
The Monticello Times and TDS Telecom needs area artists to help design an official mascot for our annual medallion hunt. Prizes will be awarded for the top three designs.
The winner will have the design placed on the official medallion for this year’s medallion hunt.
Entry forms can be found at the Monticello Times office, Monticello Chamber, Great River Library, and the Monticello Community Center.
First Place prize will be a $100 Visa gift card, Second Place will be a $50 Visa gift card and Third Place is a $25 Visa Gift Card.
Designs are due to Monticello Times office by noon, Friday, Dec. 9.
A copy of the design form can be downloaded below. Please use black pen or marker. No pencil or computer-generated graphics will be allowed. The design MUST fit within the circle on the form. Winners will be chosen on Monday, Dec. 12.
The winning design will be placed on the official medallion. The winner’s name and photo will be featured in the Monticello Times. Winners will be recognized and prizes awarded at TDS Telecom office at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan 7, 2017. Parents and/or guardians must give permission for their child’s name and photo to be used.
The Crummy Boys Shop, Inc. has donated this year’s medallion. Hunt clues will be posted online staring Monday, Dec. 26.
A new clue will be given each day on monticellotimes.com and the newspaper’s Facebook page and on TDS Telecom’s Facebook page.
The medallion must be turned in and verified by the Monticello Times office staff.
