Jyeton Drayna, 69, of Browerville, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2017, in San Antonio, TX.
Funeral services for Jyeton will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, 10 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church of Monticello. Friends may call on Friday, July 28, 2017, 5-8 p.m., at Community United Methodist Church of Monticello and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, Browerville at 3 p.m. followed with fellowship at Christ the King Catholic Church basement until 5 p.m.
Jyeton was born April 13, 1948, in Long Prairie, to Herman and Pressley (Guynes) Holler. Jyeton was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother. Jyeton loved being a mom to her three boys, Scott, Todd and Paul. She loved being a grandmother even more and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. To Jyeton, family was the most important thing in her life. As her boys were older, Jyeton worked at the Monticello Times and the Sauk Centre Herald for many years until her retirement. Jyeton was a Friend of the Library and ran the Newcomer Calls for the Monticello Times. She started the Read to Me Program at Centra Care Health in Long Prairie, distributing stuffed animals and books to newborn babies; helping 642 families over the last four years. She delivered meals on wheels and was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Jyeton is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children: Scott (Jennifer) Drayna of Monticello, Todd (Dawn) Drayna of Clear Lake and Paul (Lacey) Drayna of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Shelbi, Sophie, Kaelyn, Kennedy, Lyla and Lincoln; siblings: Jackie (Joel) Skillings of Minneota and JoAnne (John) Stevens of Austin, TX.
