Monticello Public School District selects three finalists for interim superintendent position

Per a press release from the Minnesota School Boards Association, Monticello’s partner in its search for an interim superintendent, the Monticello School Board has selected three finalists to interview for the superintendent vacancy. The finalists were selected from a pool of 14 applicants based on criteria established by the school board. The finalists are: Michael Favor (Executive Director of Schools and Student Services, Robbinsdale Area Schools), Dave Marlette (former superintendent, Watertown-Mayer Public School District), and Gail Swenson (superintendent, Tripp-Delmont School District, Tripp, SD).

The school board has scheduled interviews for the finalists beginning at 5:30 p.m. tonight, in the Middle School Board Room, 302 Washington Street, Monticello. August 23 is currently being held as a date for a possible second-round of interviews.

All interviews are open to the public.
