Monticello School Board likely to have three new faces this January

The Monticello School Board will have a much different look following the upcoming Nov. 7 election. Three people have filed their intent to run for the three available school board seats that will be on the ballot this fall. None of the three are incumbents. Those three include: Candace Carda, Melissa Curtis, and Jennifer R. Lewis Kannegieter. The filing period closed last Tuesday, Aug. 15. All three are running unopposed.

Not seeking reelection will be Robbie Smith, Carol McNaughton, and Board Chair Bill Spartz.

Other members of the board whose seats are not up for election this year include: Jill Bartlett, vice chair and treasurer, Missy Hanson and Jeff Hegle.

More information on the candidates that filed for the school board election can be found in an upcoming issue of the Monticello Times.
