Multiple emergency units from the Monticello Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to a serious Interstate 94 accident west of Monticello.

Monticello Fire Chief Steve Joerg reported that a vehicle rear-ended a semi-tractor trailer truck at Milemarker 191 westbound. Monticello crews cut one person free from the vehicle.
