A Clearwater man was seriously injured Saturday evening in an two-vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 39 and Aetna Avenue in Monticello Township, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday. A Monticello man was charged with felony criminal vehicular operation and jailed after being treated treated for minor injuries.
The IEDC Industry of the Year award is given to a Monticello industry that stands out in its commitment to business excellence, employee training and engagement, community involvement, customer relations, innovation, and overall economic growth. The award recipient is selected annually by the Monticello Industrial & Economic Development Committee (IEDC) as a part of Minnesota Manufacturer’s Week.
The bond issue contains two portions: judgment and equipment. The $6 million judgment bond portion of the issue includes $5.75 million for the FiberNet settlement and $250,000 for issuance, capitalized interest and 1 percent underwriter’s discount. The $510,000 equipment portion includes $500,000 for a fire truck and plow truck and $10,000 for issuance costs and a 1 percent underwriter’s discount.
Monticello City Councilmembers offered a pre-meeting moment of silence Monday night to remember long-time public servant and community leader Rod Dragsten, who died unexpectedly Oct. 6. He was 61 years old. “This is a big loss for Monticello. He will be dearly missed by all of us,” said Mayor Clint Herbst.
